JOMBANG, MOCOSIK.COM – The Jombang Regency Government, through its Department of Education and Culture, officially launched the "Millennial Scholarship Program 2025" on Monday (May 26) at the Arts Building of the Education and Culture Department.

The initiative is one of the flagship programs within the first 100 days of Regent Warsubi’s administration.

This scholarship, spearheaded by Regent Warsubi and Deputy Regent Salmanudin, aims to develop high-quality and competitive human resources for the future by providing full educational support to underprivileged but high-achieving students.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the 30 students who successfully passed the rigorous selection process,"said Regent Warsubi in his speech. "You are among Jombang’s brightest talents, deserving of this government support."

The selected recipients will receive support through to graduation, with the goal of transforming them into change agents who contribute to the development of their respective villages.

The Regent called on village heads to support and accommodate the scholarship recipients in their communities.

"Prevent unnecessary urban migration. Engage our youth in building peaceful, prosperous, and self-reliant villages,"Warsubi urged.

He also emphasized the importance of facilitating opportunities for local youth to thrive without having to leave their hometowns.

To the recipients, the Regent offered a strong message: "You have been chosen. Do not waste this opportunity. Study diligently, pursue your dreams, and serve the people with sincerity."

The government has partnered with Universitas PGRI Jombang to ensure academic success and continuity. Warsubi stressed that the partnership must ensure no student drops out and all are guided through to graduation.

Also in attendance were Deputy Regent Salmanudin and his wife Ning Ema Erfina, the Head of the Jombang Education Office Wor Windari, key figures from local agencies and institutions, school principals, OSIS representatives, and parents of the scholarship recipients.

Education Office Head Wor Windari explained that the scholarship targets economically disadvantaged students with outstanding academic records.
